DMCA Policy

This Copyright Infringement Policy (“Policy”) applies to the www.scivoyage.com website (“Website” or “Service”) and any of its related products and services (collectively, “Services”). It outlines how Science Voyage (“Science Voyage”, “we”, “us” or “our”) addresses notifications of alleged copyright infringement, and how you (“User”, “you” or “your”) may submit a complaint if you believe your copyright has been violated.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. In accordance with the Copyright Act, 1957 (as amended) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 with Intermediary Guidelines Rules, 2021, it is our policy to promptly respond to clear notifications of alleged infringement and to take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing material.

If you believe that material available on or through our Website infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice to us with the following details (as required under Indian law):

  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple works, a representative list.
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (such as a direct URL).
  4. Contact information of the complainant, including name, address, phone number, and valid email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

Counter-Notification

If you believe that the material removed or disabled is not infringing, or that you are authorized to use such material (by law, license, or fair dealing), you may send us a written counter-notification with:

  1. Your name, address, phone number, and email address.
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, along with its location prior to removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material at our discretion, unless the complainant files a legal action seeking a court order against the alleged infringement.
